I’m just over here drinking my coffee, waiting for my kids to wake up. I’ve been standing in this doorway watching these two sleep for about 15 minutes. They will wake up soon. The calm will be over. We will spend the day enjoying being alive. Whatever that looks like.
Yesterday we spent some time together. Not focusing on school or work. The small one and I made edible slime. The big one got to just be a kid for the day. We went for a walk. We enjoyed each other.
I’m headed into my “office” for work now with joy in my heart. It’s Friday and life is messy, but it’s good.
